We’ll send updates a couple times a month about Charleston-area meetings, events and activities for trans, nonbinary and questioning* people.

LIT is a group by and for trans and nonbinary* people trying to support each other through creating community, hosting support and social events, and sharing resources. We meet from 1:00-2:30 on the 4th Saturday of the month. For more information, please sign up for the mailing list, email lowcountryintransition@gmail.com, or join our Facebook group.
C.A.T.S. is a transgender support and discussion group serving the greater Charleston, SC area. The group is not currently holding any meetings but does have a Facebook group.
We Are Family is a Southern Grassroots non-profit organization that provides affirming spaces for LGBTQI+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, etc.) and ally youth up to the age of 24 through direct support, leadership development, and community engagement. They run many programs and events - check out their website for more information.
There are several groups that provide support in the surrounding area, including:

TransFam in Savannah, GA, and online
Trans-Fusion in Columbia, SC
* ’Trans and nonbinary’ are meant as umbrella terms to communicate a breadth of identities and experiences in
as few words as possible. You do not need to identify with any specific term in order to participate in local groups.
